I put some new wheels on the bike. The next thing I would like to add to the bike is some black praxis chainrings & it should look perfect. It doesn't take much to make these CAADs look good. I do kind of want to switch to a 58cm frame though.

Haha, 54? I'm way too short for that. It's a 50cm, gotta go save up for some parts to put on it. I acetoned the logos off.

Just ordered my CAAD10 (Women's 105, 44cm, in white) to be shipped in to my LBS so I can pick it up next time I come home from school down in SoCal. Loved the way the testers handled (rode a 51cm CAAD10 and a 44cm Synapse with a longer stem), but as always, my major issue with Cannondale is their women's bike colours.
The grey CAAD10 for women looks like someone threw up on it, and the white has glittery grey accents. I thought that once I joined a sport I'd be rid of the women-need-sparkles-and-pink line of thought, but apparently not. I love the green/white/black team colour CAAD10 to bits, but I don't fit the men's geometry.
Of course I can get it painted, but the point still stands. Out of the eight women's road bike models Cannondale carries, only the Evo in white/black is even mildly aesthetically pleasing colour-wise. The men's bikes? Almost all of them I would classify as 'hot'. Or at least decent-looking. Do they think women have some sort of widespread eye condition? Are they using women's frames as a way to get rid of excess paint? I don't like to add however many hundred dollars to the asking price for a paint job on a bike whose male counterpart looks gorgeous. Like, look:
Sorry, I just needed to vent about this. I know I will love the way my new bike rides, and that's the most important thing of all.

Here's one that just sold on ebay today with a ding on the top tube. Sold for $315 plus $50 shipping
Cannondale CAAD10 Frame Set Size 54 | eBay
Here's another with a "tiny blemish" on top tube not dent that sold for $395 plus $50
2014 Cannondale Caad 10 56cm BB30 PF30 Raw Aluminum | eBay
So that is what the market is like right now. I've been watching for a deal on a CAAD frame and personally I wouldn't pay more than $500 for a CAAD 10 frame in mint condition. I've seen some really nice looking older CAAD 8 and CAAD 9 frames on ebay recently with starting around $300-350 with shipping and not getting a single bid. Either lower price or be patient and willing to wait a few months

Nice, I have been taking off my logos as well, I got my Black Inc 50% off last year so I learned to like the gold but have been removing the logos one by one. I removed the big "10" on the headtube and replaced it with a brushed stainless "C" badge from Cannondale Experts and it looks pretty good. I plan to take them all off at some point.

Hi guys, just curious to get some opinions on a potential upgrade route i've been thinking about - right now I have a CAAD10 from 2012 that's been awesome, I have almost 9,000mi on it. I love that this years models have a disc brake model, and so i've thought about doing a custom build based off the CAAD10 Black Inc Disc Frameset that's available. Essentially i'd be getting the new frame and a new drivetrain, but keeping a lot of my other parts from my existing CAAD10 and moving them over. I was thinking about an Ultegra 6800 build with RS685 Brakes/Shifters. I know i'd have to get a new wheelset too, so i've been weighing a few options there too just undecided on that yet. Do you think it's worth trying to upgrade this way, any other ideas or suggestions?

I should probably note that I ride a pastel-blue road bike.

I think the gray women's frame looks way better than the men's. The current CAAD10 paint is pretty busy, over-the-top, and garish; there are only three decent looking Evos currently. I hate the black black black black current state of bicycle paint, it's way boring.

Ride it like you stole it
If only you could ride a 48cm then you would have the entire stock of Cannondales to choose from.

I was going back and forth, actually. There was a really nice 48cm Ultegra CAAD10 on closeout for the same price as the 105, but the owner had me try a few sizes of Cannondales and we eventually decided 44 with a longer stem was a better fit. I kinda wish I'd gotten the Ultegra, though. That was a sweet deal.

Hi experts,
Bought a 2013 CAAD8 2300 size 58 on an impulse from a lbs becoz I got it at 450 plus tax which was just within my budget. Total noob so didn't even go through proper measurement. I'm supposed to pick it up in march or so as weather permits. I'm 6'2" with 34" inseam. Not sure how worried shud I be regarding fitting. After reading some posts it looks like that is the most important thing. In worst case, if it is a wrong fit, coming summer do you think I can sell it close to the purchase price? I didn't find anything new close to this price anywhere else (lbs only), hence the impulse buy. Just went with the chart for sizing.

As for fit, it should be pretty close. Bike fit has a lot of different factors but I'm guessing 58 should be in the right range for you. It should be close enough that size can be dialed in pretty nicely by swapping to a longer stem if needed.
If you want to sell it you might take a small hit depending on your local market. It has older Sora with thumb buttons on shifters which is less desirable then newer entry level shifters so that might hurt resale a little but I would think you should easily get $400-450 if you sold at the beginning of summer.

Should be good with 58. I'm not sure it was in '13 but some CAAD 8's only went up to 58 so that'd be as big as you can get anyway. If the fit feels a little snug, you can always go longer stem & get a saddle with some longer rails or a further setback seat post. (I'm 6'2" with 35" inseam and 58's a little tighter for me than 60 on Cannondale's bikes but definitely doable)
Not bad for the price....your value will be with the LBS. Make sure you get an initial once-over and have them check it again within a month after your first ride. That'll be worth the $50 or $100 you might have saved even if you'd found the same bike on a steal privately.
Congrats!

My first question is why do you have to wait until March to pick it up if it's a 2 year old bike?

Thanks a lot for the the feedback. Feeling more assured now.
By the way, it is not sora. Its even lower grade shimano 2300 which got replaced this year with claris I believe.

shopping even if I could find something cheaper/better.
Just a quick question, how much is the cost for swapping stem? Is that something the LBS usually do free with the bike purchase? I guess not.
I'm pretty excited to get a new good brand bike within my budget and can't wait for spring to come.

In the future I would like to shoot for a lighter build, This was more of a budget build that ended up costing me about $680 total.
