The Cult of CAAD...

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

There's the 54 BBQ on eBay today that I am giving a go. With the 10s probably already in the warehouses right now, lets see how much the the 9s are valued.

I am looking at a 9 as well. 1350 w/ 105 stuff. It should be a decent upgrade from my 06 Caad8 Hopefully price is right! I would love the caad10 but don't think the wife will go for it. I already get the "How much for a waterbottle??" look LOL.

I love the anodized black frame on the 2010 Caad10-1, but would have a tough time paying $4200 for an aluminum bike (or having to mess with parting our the Dura-Ace components to recoup some $$). It would be nice if I could buy that frame and put 105 or something similar on it, rather than have to suffer with white logos etc...

For $4200 I can get a 2011 Scott R1 with Ultegra from competitive cyclist. I love the Matte Carbon/Gray look, I wonder where I can see one in person, wait, where did I put my wallet.....

Actually, I'm seeing '09 BBQ CAAD9's selling on
local Craigslist for $800. for just the frameset.
I saw a few pop up and disappear quick.

Aren't the CAAD10's selling supposedly for about the same as curren't CAAD9's?

Weren't they actually supposed to go DOWN in price when the Canadian company
that bought them began manufacturing them overseas with far cheaper labor?

The white/blue frame matches my collegiate kit, but yeah, the black on black is dope. Honestly though, I prefer sram to shimano, but I've never used DA.

Change alma mater maybe?

Actually, the white is hot too.
I agree. The 10 is starting to grow on me.
Especially after seeing one in person at an LBS.

Don't get either the CAAD or LHT love. Both overrated and boring bikes.

Give it a chance.
I just posted it a few hours ago.
And, I planned this to be a thread for "everything" CAAD.

The thread for everything CAAD.
Rumors, tips, builds, rants, raves, picture posts...wutevah.
I'm pretty sure that within a week, it'll be jumpin'.

BTW...I'll be posting pics of my CAAD build by next week once I have my cockpit
installed and once my the rest of my Dura Ace 7800 group comes in. Promise.

I have a newish white w/ red lettering CAAD-9 frame set, 52 cm with both the slice and the premium forks that I am about to put on e-Bay. Excellent condition. If interested. PM me and I'll send pics.
