What's up with all this white gear?
I've been looking hard at the new FELT Z5 but I can't go with the white tires, white bar tape, white stem, white seat.
I mean white tires, how dumb is that, I'm one of the anal types that can't stand the bike being dirty, I wax all my bikes, they are always pristine and we all know what the tires and tape is going to quickly look like, am I alone on this or what?
I may just have to do another upgrade to my F90 and just keep riding.

Apparently people like cleaning things. I can't stand when my black stuff has smudges, so I won't be going white any time soon. Some of that stuff doesn't get as dirty as you would think, but of course, it still will get dirtier faster than black, there's no denying that.

I dunno, I have a white bike with a white saddle and bar tape. Fizik bar tape doesn't get that dirty, nor do specialized saddles apparently. That said I have no firsthand experience with white tires, but it seems like they would be fine if you wiped them down now and then.

I don't have white tires but i do have white bar tape and a white saddle. Bar tape can be kept clean with a wipe down every week and i guess the leather on my Selle Italia SLK doesn't get dirty cause i never have to clean it.

Stock tires are there to make it look good in the shop, that's about it. They're the cheapest tires they could bundle. Plan to replace them soon anyway.

I think my white bike + white saddle + white tape looks really sharp.
Yeah the bar tape gets dirty... It is worth it though. I love my bike.

The novelty will wear off soon enough. In the meantime, they will wipe and clean until realization that it eats away riding time.
:so says the guy who has a white saddle and white hoods.

I like my white saddle and hoods. I don't clean, and they're still plenty white.
White tape sucks, and white tires make no sense to me. Get white rims if you need white on your wheel.

White tires are overkill, everything else is fine in moderation. I wouldn't use a white stem if my bike was white and I had white tape and saddle.

Next (actually seeing it already) the pastels will be back. Remember all the "rad" 80's colors on the old freestyle / bmx bikes? It's all cyclical .....

Hmmm... White hoods...
What do you guys with white saddles and white bikes do for non-white bar tape? The accent colors on my bike are red...
What if I did white hoods, red tape, white saddle? Would the red be too much contrast with the white hoods?
I'm new to "serious cycling" and don't want to break any fashion rules

Bike ≠ Car ≠ Ped.
I'm going to switch to white bartape just so that it'll get dirty and my bike looks like I actually RIDE it.

I like white. I have an acute case of black-clothes intolerance.
White saddles and tape stay clean/are easy to clean, if you buy Fizik and a few other brands.
It's much easier to spot dirt that needs to be cleaned on white frames and tires. Unless you're ocd, then, issues may arise...
White is more visible than many other colors. I like being visible on the road.
I have two white bikes. A white helmet, white saddles, some white clothing, including two pair of white gloves. And some new white shoes.
I like to be noticed. Especially by cars.
And it all matches, unless, of course, you're still dealing with that ocd thing.

I have a white bike. I'd rather have it be black. My black bike never gets cleaned. I seem to be cleaning the white one. Eventually I'll get tired of it and just let it get dirty.

I drive a white Jeep. I play a white Lakland bass. I think white bikes are sharp. But no thanks to white bike tires.
