new entry road bike
need a push. went to 2 bike stores one had a specialised allez sport triple and a specialized sectuer sport they didnt have my size the sectuer was closer to my size and felt a bit better ( but that could have been because it was closer to my size ) but both were good would one be better suited for my weight, adding a panniers etc ( I like the colours on the allez better )
other store had a giant ( a bit small size but they will put together my size ) felt pretty good ( not crazy on colour for 2011 and they only have 2011 for my size ) and a bianchi i think it was via nirone in my size but i wasnt very comftarble ( even though i was told they could rearange stuff to fit better)
and i have a nother place with a trek 1.5 2009 ( i only test rode a while back ) a bit more expensive and not crazy on colour
so all things being equal is there any that i should give a extra look or any i should stay away from

Hands down!
("if" it fits you)
Which is the color you're not stoked about? The Lime/White one?
It was my first road bike and I have absolutely no regrets.
The 1.5 will grow with you and is worthy of upgrades.
Plus! The '09 1.5 is 2010/2011's 2.X Series frameset.
So, you're getting a bike that's currently sold for twice what you'll pay for that '09.
Slap a 105 group on there and you have a bike for years.
Ultimately, it's your money, I'd say go with the one that puts the biggest smile on your face.
If it were my money? I'd jump on that '09 Trek 1.5.
Fo' Shizzel.

I was facing a similar decision a few months ago: Secteur vs. Defy. The Allez was in the mix as well, but I was leaning towards a relaxed geometry bike. I ended up going with a 2009 Defy 2 that was on clearance. The decision would've been much tougher if the Secteur was being offered at a similar price, but the Defy had also received rave reviews from bike mags. This article should be a good read for you:

I've got a Giant Defy3 that rides great - the frame is really impressively designed - not just round aluminum tubing, and looks the same as their hi-end frames. I use it for hammering with the roadies as well as for fast commutes.
That said, I really love the look of the new Secteurs. This Secteur sport triple really looks good in pictures - I would have thought such a hot-looking bike would cost over $2k. My blue Defy3 isn't quite as attractive as this bike..

tried 2 bike store today 3rd was closed
trek is out
trien the specialized secteur sport and felt pretty good. They offered the specialized cyclocross but dont have it in my size and i dont know if i want the wide tires etc. they told me they had the specilaezed roval pave wheelset on sales and for the credit of my wheel + 150 i could upgrade does anyone know anything about those wheels. They also had for the same price the allez sport but not set up and that is the one I have my eye on ( i would make them put it together first to test ride ) but it looks similiar to the secteur and a clolour i like better and a drop cheaper and the same componants the only diff ( which might be a big deal I dont know enough about it ) is the the secteur is a bit more relaxed.
the other one I am still considering is the giant defy wich was comftable when i test drove but it was a size to small ( just i think the componants a are a lower level also a bit more expensize ) and im not sure my smile was any more on that one ( store was closed by the time i got there today to try it)
so any suggestions comments are more then welcome
thanks fo reveryones help and input

Do you want a racing or relaxed geometry?
If racing I would recommend the Allez Comp Apex or a 2010 Allez Elite if you can find, the 2010 goes for around $1100 and have the 105 group.
If you are looking for a relaxed one, I would try the secteur Elite Apex. Awesome bike, just bought one today.
LBS have both 10 and 11.
1249 for the 2011
1024 for the 2010
. I've also tried the Dale Synapse 5 and the Defy 1, I like the Secteur most.

The wheels are fine b/c no shop would be selling recalled wheels. They have to send them back in by law. They'll most likely be fine for most purposes except they were a bit too delicate for racing and had some hub issues that would be taken care of w/ warranty. Also, please use more punctuation if you want more people to read your posts.

My LBS has the Allez Elite for $1100, the Secteur for $900 and the Allez Apex for $1200
I rode all of them, but came home with a CAAD9 5 for $1100. What really pushed me was that it was Made in USA and it had the new 5700 105 components even though it is a 2010 bike. These CAAD9s are kind of hard to find in your size/preferred color, though
That said, I actually prefer the double tap, so the Apex would be my second choice.
You could also potentially look at a 2011 Trek 2.1 - ALU bike with 105 components in this price range.
I would also suggest looking at high end ALU instead of low end carbon, but that is just me.
