Project 2010 AR4
I picked her up last week for a song, $2200 Canadian. 2010 Felt AR4 with full ultegra 6700 Group, without a wheelset. I've been looking at at aero road bikes for a while and my choice was down to the felt and the 2010 cervelo s2... I think i made the right choice
So first thing was to rip it all down and give it a good degreasing. My girlfriend crashed her bike this summer and wrecked her 105 brifter and rear derailleur. The ultegra will go on her bike minus the crankset... The 175mm arm length is just too long for her.
I'm going to be moving my DA 7900 group from my roubaix donor (seen in the background). I'm also going to be migrating the 3T ARX-Pro stem and Zipp Contour SL carbon handlebars.
I haven't decided which wheelset to go with so for the time being I'm going to use a set of 2011 Aksium Race.
I know, I know the shop is really dirty, but if you had your choice of working on a your bike or cleaning the shop, which would you choose?

Awesome find! I love this bike. Great price, where'd you find it?
I'm not crazy about the 2011 AR4 yellow/black coloring, the grey/red on the 2010s are way hotter.

I'm supposed to be going on a charity ride this Sunday provided it's not raining so I'll get the semi-completed photos up before then. I have to order a saddle for it so in the meantime I'll use a black arione but I'm thinking of using a white/red san marco aspide saddle https://www.sellesanmarco.it/en/Colle...%20Racing.html and white lizard skin tape.
I picked it up at a local shop in Toronto Hello Velo. I'm with you on the 2011. I don't believe anything has changed other than the color scheme. I can't stand colored tires either... nothing wrong with black and it doesn't look filthy after fifteen minutes of riding.

I guess your right... $2200 CAD = $2145 US.
The bike retails for about $3800 -$500 for the wheelset which equals about an $1100 savings.

I'll be putting a new wheelset on it in the spring. With xmas quickly approaching and the end of the cycling season, I couldn't justify spending another $1000

Do you want know the most awesomest thing about that bike?
It's the front derailler cable attachment. That's friggin' genius, and it looks neat.

The internal cable routing is pretty sweet... Getting the cable through it without fraying it was a bit of a challenge. The only issue I really see is there's no obvious (that I can see) to replace the cables... say if you wanted to go for a colour change.
