Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Notice a difference between a SL Pro and S-Works SL3?

Racing for a team this year that has Specialized as a sponsor, I currently ride a 2009 Tarmac Pro SL SRAM, have a chance to buy a S-Works SL3 frame and install my components on it. Will the ride difference be worth the dollars spent. Is the SL3 just stiffer, the carbon is 10r vs. 11r.

Thanks

Also the 2009 Pro was an SL2 frame, so the SL3 s-works is stiffer and lighter. 11r is stiffer than 10r anyway, and the SL3 also stiffened up the rear triangle. People I know who went from an s-works SL2 to an s-works SL3 noticed quite a difference, and other people said that there is a noticeable but less profound difference between the Pro and s-works SL2.
