Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Lynskey Level2 vs Litespeed siena (2002)

Hi all,

New to the forum and I wanted to post this question. I'm looking to buy a ti frame in about a 53-54cm. Two I've come across are a lynskey level 2 and a litespeed siena (2002). I know that the lynskey has butted tubing, but not sure about the litespeed (the 2002 website says it has litespeed's proprietary "GET" tubing). https://web.archive.org/web/200204020...oad/siena.html

Both have curved seat stays, but the siena is compact while the lynskey is standard geo. Basically, I'm looking to build up a much nicer bike than my current marin san marino steel frame bike and have a used record grouppo lying around waiting to be put on the frame I decide on buying.

Any opinions on differences between the two? Both have similar dimensions as far as headtube and top tube, so it's a matter of which is a better frame (or better frame for the money) The price difference between the two is about $200, but neither one seems too unreasonable. For the record, I'm about 145lbs.

Thanks!
