Opinion on Vredestein Fortezza SE

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Opinion on Vredestein Fortezza SE

How do they ride? Flat resistant? Specifically the SE model.
Thanks all.

you get what you pay for.

the real ones (that cost more) are better.

I have over 13,000 miles on 3 bikes. My bikes are that shade of blue so they match. They are half the price of most tires if you watch for sales. They are thicker and heavy compared to most tires but they wear well and are more flat resistant than other tires. I usually change them more for cuts than wear. New Mexico has lots of glass and thorns so they work good for me.

I got some of the low end Vredesteins a while back and they lasted all of 300mi before developing numerous cuts and general wear. I'm not buying Vredestein ever again.

Have them on several bikes with thousands of miles. Great for the money. Keep them pumped up high.

I have those on my commuter that I ride to work on I have had a few flats over the years (expected) but they sure wear good I have over 2000 miles on them and still look great I think I will get another 1000 maybe more before I need to change the rear front still looks great.

Thought they were great ...until mounting a better tire and spinning around the block.

Running over the seam at the corner, gasped, stopped - gingerly - I forgot to air them up!?

Nome, the ride is just that much better; just as remarkable at the crit and tt that week, and, I'm NEVER going back.

Continent 4000 also wears and corners better.

Yassee, the Verd is a nice tire compared to what I ran back in the 70s.
