How many lbs are you away from "roadie skinny?"

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hey, even the 33 has a thread honoring Oreo indulgence. There are always exceptions.

You roadie-skinny people are...very skinny. At 5'8" and 170lbs I suddenly feel, uh, nope, still feel pretty good. I'm converting to a tri-weenie from a gym rat though and losing some weight. Pretty sure my frame would look funny too much lighter. And the wife would complain. The pics from my last (first) tri. No good ones from the ride so you have to settle for a swim.

Fabian Cancellara and I are the exact same height and weight. 6 foot and 180 pounds
Big guys can play this game too!

I hear he wants to lose 5 pounds to contest for a win in Liège–Bastogne–Liège.

So to keep pace with my idol I will try to drop 5 pounds for the Devil Mountain Double in April 2011

+1. During the summer when I was cycling just about everyday, my weight dropped to about 165. I did not like it, and my family said I was getting skinny. I was drinking protein shakes to try to keep my weight up, or who knows how much I would've dropped to. I weighed in at the gym at 176 yesterday. That's a good weight for me, as long as it's not fatty.

Pictures are worth a thousand words. You do look like a guy who works hard at being at his best for the ladies, which is fine and all, but the rest of us have other goals.

I have to be honest though and just say it: You are definitely too ripped for this sport.

I'm back down around the same weight I was racing at when I was in my 20's. Hoping to lose a few more lbs soon.

But I'm more of a sprinter type, so my massive guads prevent me from getting too skinny, even at 6% bf

Hit 137 at 5'11" today after a century. Pretty sure that's roadie skinny status. 1.93lb/inch

I know I can't be the only girl who does not like guys totally ripped. I mean, I don't like terribly skinny ones either. Muscles are great but there's such a thing as too much.

Just as I'm probably not the only guy that thinks women don't have to look like the Hollywood & fashion stereotypes.

Does anyone else get annoyed at family members saying you are "too skinny" ? Always drove me nuts since I was constantly berated about that.

I used to get that with my ex's family. Each one was obese or borderline obese.
Thin frame 5'9" and 160 lbs is not skinny.
I'm getting closer after loosing more weight.
