Not sure how the greatest sprinter in the history of cycling escaped. Too bad MERTON seems to have been purged. He could have filled the HoF all by himself.

I am witholding my vote as my choice would be Botto's "In Two Weeks" thread. The thread was nothing but the OP was awsome.

I view the threads on this forums a LOT! I realize I need to cut it down when it takes up cycling time. Fortunately (for me) the number of threads that interest me are few enough to not blow this up into a full-on obsession and I'm able to control myself.
Thanks a lot Grumpy; I now have a 'best of' list to read and I may not be strong enough to survive.
Where is that HTFU thread..? Feeling, weak... must read.

The R600 Dura Ace thread was the Chuck Norris of all threads.

I'm kinda new around here so I wasn't familiar with most of these threads. Displaying an obvious lack of judgment, I just wasted almost an hour reading the R600 thread. Holy crap.
Witnessing that trainwreck only piques my curiosity more regarding the other nominees.
There goes the rest of my week. Thanks, Bike Forums, thanks....

Thanks so much for putting this up... I have wasted a lot of time this past couple days reviewing these historic threads. All the grand themes of literature are there: power, hubris, lust, betrayal, failure. Oh, the failure.
Bullet PROOF tires has to win because I came away from it with a warm feeling inside - it is genuinely funny and showcases the less malign elements of the forum posters. I dropped Lance is the most involving thread but in the end it just gets plain nasty. Assos bibs showcases the apparent gullibility (?) of the forum posters who were willing to engage with the oh-so-obvious (but very amusing) trolling.

We need a mechanism for inducting new members. This has potential!

As a noob, of course I had to read all these to make an informed decision... and now I'm left pondering, why was umd banned? He seemed so rational compared to the other non-banned knuckleheads?

Yes and no.
I missed that t-shirt but I do have one of the first edition BF jerseys. That was awesomeness.

I find this thread, and the associated links posted in the replies, the most useful thread I've ever come across.
