Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Cyber Monday...

I'm literally afraid to open any emails from the online LBS's.
I could hear the call of the credit card.
I'm going to sit this one out.

I've noticed that all the so called sales aren't as great as they say they are.
I think my usual February-March shopping spree is still the best bet.
Lot's of good deals out there, but not on what I want.

What say ye?

I agree. I'm seeing mostly 20%. That's not really a deal IMHO.

I don't see any real deals.

Performance is giving $20 back on a purchase of $100, which less than the 25% they were offering.

i bought a bunch of stuff yesterday and today because some had promotions of x% off the total. this way it is actually a further reduction because you can pick the stuff that have been reduced from list and then apply the discount.

Those are the deals that make sense; the % off on total purchases including those items already on sale and big ticket items.
