Wow!!!!!!

Looking forward to that ride report in a few months. Were it me, I think black bar tap would be the way to go. All the same, great build!

tagaproject6 12-13-10 01:57 AM

How do you like those Planet-X brakes?

Looks great!

16.5 pounds isn't heavy.

I actually like 105 cassettes. They're cheap, durable, and just a few grams heavier than Ultegra cassettes.

Very very nice. I want to hear about this rear end fine tuning that was talked about in your video review.

Nah. The black stem and hoods are enough horizontal black that it compliments the saddle. Black tape would make the front end disappear.

Nice job LowCel. Very pretty bike.

guadzilla 12-13-10 09:26 AM

Very nice - the only thing is, I think white tape requires a white saddle. But it is one hot bike!

coasting 12-13-10 09:30 AM

is that an in-line seatpost? i thought they have to be thomson on BF.

rjones28 12-13-10 09:37 AM

LowCel's a rebel.

ADSR 12-13-10 10:48 AM

Huzzah! I think this merits a full ride report in the spring, complete with pictures by a road sign, and some other photo of a mountain pass.

MORE PICS! You have a killer camera, use it, man! haha. But, no really, awesome build and great finished product. makes me jealous! Now, get that thing on the rollers and test it out!

Sorry, no more pictures for a while. The crankset has been removed and put back on the Kestrel. I am looking forward to playing with my camera when the weather gets a little nicer though. :D

The Quarq comes with red chainrings, and yep, they are 50/34's.

I will probably switch to black when I rewrap them in a few months. I do like the way the white looks on it though.

I've been using the same two SLR's for years now, I wouldn't know where to start looking for a new saddle. Oh, plus I'm broke and can't afford a new one. :D

The Colnago seatpost came with the frameset. As for is it an "in-line seatpost", I have no idea what that means.

Canon 50D.

rankin116 12-13-10 07:13 PM

I was hoping you were going to do this painfully slow to irritate everybody in the other thread.

Nice build though. Hope it's all you want it to be.

That was the plan but I was bored yesterday and ended up doing more than I had planned. Oh well, now I'll have to start planning my upgrades. :D
