Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Retul Frame Finder

Sorry if this has been posted before, but I just came across this new software Retul is working on https://www.retul.com/framefinder-a-s...-interbike.asp

Frame Finder is a web app that graphically overlays the fit dimensions of real-life bikes on top of a rider’s personal fit coordinates. If a bike’s seatpost can move up and down 10 centimeters and back and forth 4 centimeters, Frame Finder creates a rectangle that is 10 x 4 centimeters to encompass every potential saddle position. It does the same for stems, aerobars and saddles to depict every possible fit configuration.

Seems interesting. Cant wait for some computer program to tell me my dream bike wouldn't be "perfect" for me, and I should be on some Wally World frame.

Serotta has that tool in there new Fit Cycle. After getting a professional fit done on this fully automated fit bike it will spit out X/Y figures that you can then transfer to any existing bike that your interested in and let you know if it's a go or no go.

I'm smart enough to be able to compare any frame with another without computer software. If the manufacturer lists the stack and reach, it's even easier. Without it, even the computer software will not be totally accurate. Not many manufacturers list the fork length that they use and they vary from 360-374mm, so there will always be some uncertainty in the height of the head tube, relative to the center of the crank.
