Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

looks real nice mfactor.

im hoping to get better pics when i have more time but i took a quick ugly camera phone pic of my bike and its new weight.

its hard to read but it says 15.86.

I still need to replace the seat. I think I will get the one SA and mfactor have. Need bottle cages too.

^ I might be crazy but I think the white version of the blackburn cages would look great on that bike. Nice bike!

thanks. Im not sure about the white cages because the bike is flat/matte finished. I think they might be too glossy.

This change will result in a projected weight for each bike at:

7087g for the Trek on the Spinergys

6069g for the Cervelo on the Zipps

I need to weigh the wheels one of these days again, and figure out the exact differences. The wheels, and tires no cassette or skewers was like 300g irc, and then the skewers is at least a 100g difference from KCNC to Spinergy brand, and then 50g difference from the Red Cassette, or was it 55g I don't remember, but what I am getting at, is the Trek with the Zipps installed, is most likely sub UCI limit now. That makes me

It had them once before in a previous version, when I was still lusting for a Cervelo, Sram, and carbon wheels. This was like 3yrs ago. It's gotten bad since then...

What derailleurs do you have? I'll weigh my Force, and Red pulleys both, if you want. I think I am going to hold off on buying new ones for now. I was trying to get to $150 to get free shipping, and the bottle/cage idea seemed more viable since it scraped weight from both bikes.

im not sure but performance had the saddle i have for $99 a while back. thats hard to beat. i almost bought another one and still might if they are still at that price.

the matte blackbrun cages would look good on that bike but i agree the white might look pretty good as well

i am trying to picture the trek with black bar tape and white hoods. the white saddle, hoods, and spokes may be obscure enough to work. the blue bar tape just is not doing it for me.

Rival but i would say it has the same pulleys as the Force. i doubt there is a lot of weight to be saved there.

The blue actually looks stunning in person. It's got a metallic hint to it, that matches the blue on the frame, and the Rolf wheels great. I'll probably use that bar tape for ever on that bike, unless they discontinue it. Sorry. The hoods are wearing out however, but I think I am just going to buy another set in black. I've been thinking about finding another Toupe like what I have, but with Blue accents instead.

Yeah, I think Rival and Force are the same. Yeah, it's not going to be much. The good thing for you is the ceramic bearings will be an improvement too. Fairwheels claims the KCNC pulleys increase shifting performance too, which is hard to fathom, because it shifts great now.

Both are good products I own both. The color is a hard call. I dare to say red, just to tie in with the rest of your red additions.

That saddle was never intended for that bike. Thing is, I really liked it allot, and when I got a new saddle for the Cervelo, I the Toupe had to go on there or I wouldn't ride it. The color of that saddle on that bike looks bad, I agree. If the Red accents were blue, I think it would be a lot better.

thanks i thought the same but didnt want to go to overboard with red either. i could always lose the red housings or tires if it became to much.

The white ones are heavier. Get that carbon POP stem cap I just ordered. That thing is sweet. Fairwheel should pay me for posting here. lol.
