Tan lines that don't fade
I rode over 6,000 miles this past summer. Ever since it started getting cold enough for long pants, I haven't wore shorts or exposed my legs to sun, but my razor sharp cycle-short tan lights are as deep and tan as they were in the summer. Should I be concerned about this? or do any of you have the same thing?

I had some for a pretty good time like 2-3 months but IMHO, the funniest part was the tanline caused by my fingerless gloves on my hands and finger...

Mine fade by January, but the first warm day in February or March brands me for the season.

I had a pretty light tan line and I could still see it in November. I wouldn't worry about it.

I use this weird product marketed as sunscreen, prevents damage from long term repeated exposure.

Mine are about 50% faded.
I don't think what you describe is common (zero fade), but I don't think it's dangerous either.

My arms and legs haven't seen the sun since late November. Lines are still there.

Being able to ride in shorts in January probably helps.
Me, I'm riding with SPF 45 at all times, and don't tan, I burn. Plus I wear a couple different types of shorts and jerseys that all have different lengths. So I don't really get the classic cyclist lines.

And this is why I swim... other than to cross train - at least my hands/shoulders/arms get an even tan that way

Taken January 16th, 2011.
Southern California winter. Guaranteed to look stupid in a pool year-round.
Or alternatively, as my wife likes to tell me, guaranteed to look stupid year-round.

Sounds like sun damage, and everytime you go out without sufficient sunblock it will come back faster than it takes to tan.
