Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

New-to-me Silca Super Pista.

People should keep posting their latest cycling gear infatuation.

I've heard those Sidi winter shoes work quite well!

Campagnolo Veloce group/ Fulcrum wheels. I know it's the lowest end stuff they make but on my god the shifting!

I'm also really enjoying my bright yellow Canari wind breaker. Dorky, but it keeps me from freezing to death.

Fixed gear in this stupid New England weather. 'Dale is mounted on the trainer and the Tarmac is resting in the cellar.

For what it's worth (?), I have the Sidi Storm MTB winter shoes from a few years back. They are only slightly warmer and drier than regular bike shoes, in my experience. Plus, the insoles have fallen apart. I'm slightly disappointed.

Powertap. As they say "abscence makes the heart grow fonder". I cracked the rim on my ptap wheel a week or so ago and hope to have a replacement by this saturday. I'm not really doing any serious 'training' this time of year, but it's still driving me crazy riding without power info.
