Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Thought About BF When I Read This

This is an interesting article on the relationship between exercise and addiction, among other things. I'm not saying I necessarily agree with it, but it did make me think and reflect a bit.

Very interesting article, there seemed to be a lot of people taking offense to it in the comments section. On the A&E television show Intervention, they did an intervention on a girl who was addicted to "alcohol and exercising", they did not really cover the exercising that much. As long as you can exercise injury free and properly feed your body, do it as much as you want! When you stop exercising as much, you probably will feel like crap, but a lot better than if you had not exercised.

I can not tell if you are serious about this post or not, sorry, I do not mean to offend you if are serious about it. I am new so a lot of the stuff in the Addiction thread you referenced made no sense to me!

Re: the article, I surely notice how addictive and mood-altering cycling is for me. When I haven't ridden in a few days, Mr. Hyde starts showing up more often.

Cycling changes brain circuitry? I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing.
