Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

2010 Allez Sport vs Elite- Just the frame. What's the diff?

I'm just wondering what the difference is between the 2010 Sport frame vs the 2010Elite frame. As far as I can find, they are the same other than paint options.

I just bought a 2010 Sport frame, and put a Tiagra/105/Ultegra mix on it. If I outfitted it with all 105, would it be the same as an Elite?

Just curious..

I might as well show it off (again) while I'm at it...

Correct. sport and elite are both A1 frames.

Have to move up to comp to get the E5 frame.

I have another stupid question. How do you pronounce Allez? I've heard it a couple different ways. Al-lay, All-eez?

It's pronounced Al-lay (silent Z). It's French for go.

You are right for 2010 - as the OP was asking. Found it interesting that for 2011 the Elite is E5 and the Sport is A1.
