Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Pearl Izumi clothing Warranty

I bought a pair of their top of the line winter bibs last week wore the for the first time today

The strap is adjustable and the metal clip snapped off.. looks to be very soft metal.

I'm gonna go see the shop where i bought them as I'm a good customer

according to the pearl website it is repair or replacement at their discretion but I need to mail then in and get shipping insurance.

has anyone gone through their warranty program in the past?

I obviously want to use these tights regularly so should i just have a good tailor make a better clasp for me if i need to mail them in

anyone ?

just spoke with my lbs and they are surprised it happened but the person I spoke with didn't recall ever going through pearl's warranty process

I don't want to send them away since I need them so I'm going to pop into day show them and see what they say

they might be able to get me the buckle or maybe a better built buckle

wont the shop swap it out for you? Thats what we do usually and just submit it to pearl for credit. but maybe not all LBS's do that...

The shop should handle this. I'm sure they deal with Izumi sales reps from time to time that should be able to help you out.

I've always had best luck with all companies by contacting them directly myself and have always had great service from them.

In your situation, we'd take them back, exchange a pair for you, and then we'd send them back to Pearl for a credit.

PI has good service. If the shop can't help you can always just sent them back directly.
