Need some pieces to the puzzle - FUJI bike history

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Need some pieces to the puzzle - FUJI bike history

Hello all - I'm a newbie.

I called with a local bike shop owner who sells Fuji. I was looking for an Absolute, and hopefully an older model. He had these two models:

Absolute 3.0 - Didn't know the model year. He said he bought it as a closeout from FUJI, and he thought it was at least a couple years old - maybe as old as 2007. The only thing he could say about the bike was that it was Charcoal grey(ish) in color.

Absolute 3.0 - He thought this was 2010, but I doubted. He said it was red in color - I thought 2010 was a blue bike?

So, does anyone know what model years the different colored bikes would have been?

I can likely get the Grey bike for 30% off of list (or hopefully more). The other one, not as much. Okay deal?

Very easy fix. Ask the shop owner/employee to give you the serial number. Call this number, 1-800-631-8474 you'll probably talk to Rob Gaspari or Fernando and tell them you'd like some info on the bike. Give them the serial number and they can tell you the bikes history.

Appreciate the advice, I will use that. Is that number for FUJI direct?

If anyone else knows the answer, I'd happily listen. But, when I can get the serial number I will do that.
