Very cool OP!
It doesn't rain here much - me stick with MP3 player, magazines, and blank stare (when not in "competetive" mode, heh) on the rare nasty days.

Ok, back from the death valley century...what a chore that ride was. The headwind was so strong at one point 8 hours in, my HR was 160, pedaling as hard as I could, going 6.2mph. There were a few gusts that took me down to 4.5mph. The headwind was both ways thanks to a nicely timed cold front. Slowest 100 miles I've ever experienced.
Since the power display without an ANT+ power meter is based only on speed, I cannot calulate how much additional power it takes to accelerate. Either way, since you're not accelerating your body mass or the bike, I think it might be pretty irrelevant data on a trainer.
I did get your email. Once I rest up from this weekends ride I'll catch up on email. I think the AI might be something like what you describe, but it'll end up being a trial an error thing. It's sometimes hard to plan out how an AI should be designed, you just gotta try things and then see if its 'fun'.
That is exactly how it is calculating power in the video. However, only Kurt Kinetic posts power curve formulas as far as I know, so other people would still need a powermeter if they cared about that data. I'm not sure if there's any need for this app to talk to an iBike computer, but if it has ANT+ sensors it should work. I'll make note that you're a semi-local with an ibike just incase I do need a tester for that.
Having any random video from the user is a good idea. It'd be nice to have the graph and overlays ontop of any video. I'll look into that possibility this week. I think it may be easy on windows, not so sure about mac. This would be one of those parts of the code that'd have to be rewritten for each system.
Also, yes, the garmin USB stick will work (I've tested it). It is just a rebranded stick from another manufacturer as far as I know.

I apologize if this has been asked before, but do you have an idea of when you might start selling it? And an estimated price?

As for the power output, many trainers have power curves, or lines, as the case may be. So it would be great if you had a dropdown list of trainers to choose from that had different power curves, and had the ability to edit the formula. Here is a link to what I currently use to do the calculations after the fact by converting the speed track to a power track after the trainer session is over: https://www.zonefivesoftware.com/spor...er-power-track
Since this person has already done most of the work of gathering the formulas together in one place maybe you could add something like this to your product.

Thanks for the interest guys.
New features since my last post:
1) video support is in. I've been doing my nighttime intervals to music videos I bought off itunes and its quite motivating. All the graphs and overlays are still ontop of the video, and the videos auto-pause when you stop pedaling.
2) Wireless Powertap support is in, so now you can have power by either owning a KK trainer, or having an ANT+ powertap.
3) Mac support is also underway, but I have yet to see anybody say they actually wanted a mac version so it's pretty low priority.
4) Garmin footpod support is in, and a treadmill mode is going in
I'm enjoying using it, but it'll need some more interactivity before it's "fun" I think.
