LOOK pedal squeak
hello,
I recently purchased some LOOK pedals and have noticed that one of them squeaks at every pedal turn. It happens when the pedal is right at the top of the "arc" and is beginning the push. I have tried tightening them to no avail.
Anyone have anything like this happen to theirs?
thanks

No, nobody has ever heard of Look cleat squeak. Must be only you.
OK, now that the required BF sarcasm is out of the way, this is common to some people while others never have an issue like myself. First, is this a Delta or Keo cleat and did you buy new or used?
It could be lots of things. First thing to try is cleaning the pedal and cleat well. You can also try reinstalling the cleat on the shoe and clean the underside to isolate if the noise is from the cleat/pedal interface. If you bought used, the cleat may be worn down too far and in just the wrong way to remove the noise. Some people have had luck I believe spraying Pam on the cleats to stop the squeak. I haven't had the problem since I began using LOOK in 1987 so I haven't tried solutions before.

The cleat may actually be the culprit. I used to lightly scratch the cleat with a very fine grained sandpaper to get rid of mine.

check the front and rear quick release
same thing happened to me, and after much head scratching I just so happened to be using my friends rear wheel one day and the squeaking stopped

I'd be more surprised if it didn't squeak! usually once you scuff your cleats up from walking around in them it will subside.
