I know the company, they are a local start-up. I've seen the wheels in person and can say the quality is top notch. As are the owners. They have a great business model too. I would highly recommend them.

I've ridden the frame and have one on order. They haven't delivered anything to the general public as of yet, so you're unlikely to find many reviews from people not local to D.C. I will say that I've seen all of the stuff, and I'd buy more if I had the cash. One of the founders rides the 38mm carbon clinchers everywhere, and they've been rock solid.
Disclaimer: I'm on the same team as the founders/owners.

Bookmarked the site. I will be purchasing in the future, I just have to find a job. 2500 dollars for a 15.5 lb bike is awesome. Looks cool too!

awesome i look forward trying them out. i just bought a set of Alu clinchers last month or so and have a few more things on my short list to get first so im not in a big hurry but will be in the market for a light set of carbon wheels soon. i may also be interested in a frame soon as well. i like that you are in the DC area ( pretty close to me) and i have had good luck with small cycling brands before. i also really like the decals on your stuff and i dont say that often. keep up the good work!

In the DC area as well. Wouldn't mind checking the space once you guys pull the trigger and do it.
I'll keep you guys in mind when I get another set of wheels. Supporting the local guy would be great!

Since my first dealings with November Bicycles well over 4 months ago I have nothing but positive things to say about the company. Both Mike and Dave have an excellent business model and am looking forward to receiving the bike and wheels.

You'd be surprised. We're probably in lock step on about 90% of what the company is about. I suppose it's fortunate that what we agree on keeps us busy enough to table the 10% that's potentially in dispute.
It's actually more fortunate for Dave, who is getting all skinny for racing season. I'm a meat-head sprinter. Every pound he loses makes me more persuasive.

Anyone riding one of these bikes yet? I'm seriously considering the Wheelhouse. About had my mind made up on a new Cervelo S2 or R3. Wondering where this bike falls in compared to these bikes. Geometry wise kinda in between. Any input? Thanks.

The wheelhouse is on my short list for my next possible race bike. I look forward to hearing some more feedback once others get theirs and put some miles in with them.

VA_Esquire - We only take orders for frames during November. It's a subtle difference. We offer people the chance to do a pre-order buy in November at a significant discount. We place the order with the factory in November, and as Mike says we are expecting the frames to arrive to us any time now (they have been loaded off the boat and are wending their way through customs release, etc). A big part of the way our prices can be what they are is that we don't spend a lot of money carrying inventory or taking inventory risk. But we have to place a pretty large minimum order, and we didn't completely sell out our pre-sell order quantity, so we do have several frames that are available. Not very many, and sizes are limited (we generally have one or two of each of the middle sizes).
G8TOR - All the 38mm wheels that are going with bikes are built, so that means your wheels are built. Soon soon for the frame.
aoto - We supply Vredestein TriComps with the bikes. They're great tires, they are our preference. We don't supply ANYTHING on the bike that we wouldn't happily race ourselves. My bike, for example, has RFSC38s with a Power Tap because I'm a huge geek, but apart from that every single thing on it is absolutely stock (and in fact you could buy my exact configuration as a stock bike). Tires, saddle, bar tape, cables, housings, brake pads, bars - everything is 100% stock and 100% raceable. Having nothing on the bike be a "place keeper" part is a huge deal for us. So many bikes are sold with wheels you would be unhappy to train on much less race on. That's just wrong.

They aren't Gigantex, but they are from a Taiwanese supplier whose rims are used by a lot of other wheel builders. There are actually very few manufacturers of good carbon rims. Zipp definitely makes their own, in Indiana. I think Easton makes their own. Reynolds makes their own rims but sells them to other OEM's. A good example of the interwoven-ness of carbon wheel supply ("woven" pun not intended) is evident in this picture: https://velonews.competitor.com/2011/...hment/p1070119. It's Dennis Menchov's bike. Geox's wheel sponsor is Oval. DT Swiss is also a team sponsor (presumably for spokes??). The picture clearly shows a Reynolds-branded hub despite the black magic marker. Elsewhere in the photo gallery there is a statement that the wheels shown are indeed Reynolds MV32s. This is the team leader's bike, the wheel-related sponsors are Oval and DT Swiss, and they have a poorly-rebranded set of Reynolds wheels on it. Making it even MORE confusing, Reynolds uses DT Swiss hubs and spokes for their MV32s. DT uses Reynolds rims on their main carbon wheel line (the RR series I think it's called?). So the picture shows a DT hub, DT spokes, and a Reynolds rim - but the wheel could be a Reynolds DV32 or a DT, the difference is just in the branding. I have no idea where Oval fits into the picture here. They seem not to.
A long way of saying that there are far more (FAR more) wheel brands out there than there are rim manufacturers. We get ours from the same supplier that many of our peers/competitors do. They are a great supplier.
Confused yet?

interesting. ive seen a few people mention the value to be had... and at $3000 for a build like that... I would agree! it's almost spec'd out to be my ideal build!
once reviews start rolling in.... and I have more time to compare geometries... It may make my short list!
