Nice.

I was on a "road" in Kazakhstan which looked like it had been mini-bombed for miles. Like what I assume a bombed out airstrip would look like.

Made for entertaining cycling though, trying to pick a line.

Is that picture symbolic of throwing a lot of money into a hole as in biking being a constant expense (and not cheap at that)?

We have a few like that on the edge of the roads around here. The shoulder just kind of drops out from under you.
