Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Any experience with Boyd wheels?

Just saw them on the internet a little bit ago.

Anyone have these? Looks like a decent set of wheels for the price.

Try a search - there's a lot of very positive feedback out there. I'm waiting on 38mm carbon clinchers that are en route from him. All I can tell you so far is that he's a pleasure to deal with - he responds promptly to all questions with thoughtful and articulate answers, and his lead time to build the wheels was short.

I just got mine about two weeks ago. So far I love them, fantastic wheel at a good price and like EddieH said great customer service. So far really a great wheel but I haven't had them long enough to give any longevity type claims. Mine are the Aluminum 30mm wheels, more for training (and fit my budget) but I would gladly go back later to get the carbon for racing.

I found some pictures of the Yishun wheels compared to his wheels. His wheels look like the same supplier that Williams uses. The Yishun wheels have a lowered braking track and metal in the hoop so spokes don't pull through. (Not the same wheels.)

No.
Boyd is More like Psimet.

Boyd's are hand built in USA. Higher quality spokes. Pre-tensioned + trued.

Also, you can talk to Boyd on the phone just about anytime.

VERY nice wheels. IMO, these are the best deal out there.
