Not sure how many folks listen to the Two John's Podcast. But they have a listener named Derf who has been living in Japan. He posted some awe-inspiring photos from the damage to Japan's roads that's well worth seeing.

Perhaps equally as astonishing is how quickly some of these roads are getting repaired. Check out this link:

I said this on Twitter the other day. I live in Chicago, we have potholes celebrating their 10th birthday. Actually, we just found out a local road here hasn't been repaired in over 25 years! So it has potholes hitting that classic age any day now :/
