Does anyone know difference between Look Keo Plus and Classic pedals?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Does anyone know difference between Look Keo Plus and Classic pedals?

They are listed everwhere as the same descriptions, but the "Plus" pedals are $30-50 cheaper (on sale) depending on where you shop?

I can't figure out why (unless it's just because they are ugly grey instead of black or red)...

?

Spring tension is the main difference at that level. They want to capture the first timer who is buying a bike with a model that allows very easy clipping in and out.

They both seem to allow release tension from 8 to 12 Nm.
They also weigh the same.

I can't seem to figure it out - but finding them for super cheap...

I bought Keo Max 2 Carbon on ebay for less than half of my LBS's price.

For some reason I was thinking the easy and the classic. The difference may lie in different bearings if they are both from the same year of manufacture. The entire KEO line was given an overhaul due to the cleat pedal interface making a very annoying squeaking noise. That is more than likely the reason they are being blown out at incredible prices by everyone. If you are lucky they won't require a slough of home remedies being applied every 10 miles to keep them tolerably quiet. If you ride bike paths a ton this would be great.

Yeh, i found one blog that said this "Plus" line was a limited edition and supposed to stop the squeak. so the question continunes.. but at $67 i guess i can't go wrong (and yes, that includes grey cleats)

Yes, I was too lazy to look but that is exactly what it is. I think Jenson or Performance had some for $50 in February that had me tempted. Consensus is that the Keo 2 Max is the best marriage of cost and performance in their current line. Either way you are better off buying new rather than used.

geez that's super cheap - performance is selling them for $99 for their "exclusive" Plus peddle

https://www.performancebike.com/bikes...1586500_400265

but they are not the same as what i've been finding as other online shops -
https://www.nashbar.com/bikes/Product...2_511409_-1___
and
https://www.chainreactioncycles.com/M...?ModelID=52741

weird... yeh, not looking to get used- can't afford the Keo 2 Max's - especially since I have to buy shoes as well
