What do you keep in your wedge?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What do you keep in your wedge?

Its called a wedge, right? The bag thats sits under your seat.

I'm starting to go on longer (30+ mile) rides and need to be prepared for emergencies.

Why do you carry your CCW if you don't carry a weapon?

Dang, either y'all are really stuffing those bags or mine is just really tiny. I can only fit two tubes... and a patch kit box, if I smash everything in.

^^ I carry the same stuff in mine, minus the rag (but it's a good idea, I'll probably add one). I also carry a patch kit.

Add some duct tape (can be used as an emergency patch) , a few zip ties . Some guys carry a small pair of side cutting pliers or even a pair of nail clippers for trimming cables. Rubber surgical gloves to keep your hands clean. Takes up no space and weighs nothing.

My cell phone, ID, money, some extra endurolytes, a few select loose allen keys, and food bars go into a pocket or sometimes I use a small fanny pack.

https://www.bikeradar.com/road/gear/a...ke-fixes-29883 is interesting and worth reading.

1 tube, 2 tire levers, presta-schrader converter and tire boot. On long rides, I'll add another tube and a CO2 cartridge/pump.
