Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

WHITE Fizik Versus saddles?

Anyone have any insight on these?

Bikerumor.com seems to be the only source I have seen about the Versus saddles in white.

I don't understand the question. Are you asking about the design, color or availability?

more specific question: Does anyone know about availability of these saddles. The bikerumors site says 3-4 weeks...

also, I am debating between an Antares or Aliante, the arione was ok comfy for me, but too thin. Anyone try either (the vs ones, I have dong numbness issues)?

I'm anticipating the white saddle as well. The shape of the Aliante seems to make my sitbones the happiest of all the saddles I've tried (Antares, Toupe, Flight, and others that I can't even remember) but I also get the nard numbness and have been waiting to try the VS saddles.

Can't help but I do dig the white saddles. I have the white/black Antares carbon rail and love it. I'm getting an Ares for the TT bike and might try the Versus. Cheers.

A numb dong isn't good for anybody so you have my sympathy. I like Fizik saddles, especially the Aliante and Arione, and adding a love channel to keep the dong from falling off should only increase their popularity.

The saddles on the display board are test saddles. Maybe the shop can order you one from Highway 7, the importer.

I thought their test saddles were a shade of orange? If white isn't available via retail that is disappointing

have you tried the Versus version of the saddle? the Arione Versus has noticably more cushion than the normal Arione. FYI saddle shape is more important to preventing "numb dong" than amount of cushion.

The first round was orange. The second was green. This year we're supposed to get new purple ones, but I haven't seen them yet. White must be for the Versus line.

Do you work at a shop in the county?

I've been riding an Aliante for several years. I got one of the new Versus ones as a loaner from the LBS and rode it for two days. I didn't notice much difference at all, except that it seemed more solid, likely because it wasn't broken in. As to whether I would swap out? I don't know....50-50 I guess. I don't know that the channel does anything.

White Arione CX Carbon Braided here, most comfortable saddle I've used.
