Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I like Lance.

I read Bicycling Magazine.

I spend too much time on BF.

I spend too much time combing over CL ads for bikes that I'll never buy.

I suggest starting with something like, "It's not you it's me. i just can't take the dismounts or the heckling anymore."

Me and biking is the same as a golfer with a $4000 set of clubs that shoots 102.

I got back into cycling after the second time I lost my drivers license.
I'm too poor for this sport.

Cycling has changed my life completely. Although I think 95% of the weight I lost came from my wallet...

i spend way more on bikes and bike gadgets than can be justified by my paltry abilities and meager wattage.

And I actually *know* I have too many bikes.

+1

Let me add that even though I have a very nice bike (which was nice before I "upgraded" it), I will always want a "better" bike. But I have no business being on any bike "better" than mine. I will probably look foolish on one anyway. Also add scouring eBay for things that I will never buy.

I hope you apply it directly to the chamois.

When I was 12, I started stealing my mom's Victoria's Secret catalogs to... oh, wrong type of confession.

When I shop for helmets, I put them on and assume an aero tuck in front of a mirror to see how it looks on me.

Either way works but I prefer directly to the chamois. Seems a little more hygenic in my little mind.

I HATE hills.
I wish my girlfriend rode.
I do not like riding in inclement weather (all of you HTFU types....I hate you)
I envy anyone who lives in warm weather climates.
