Giro Prolight sizing question

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Giro Prolight sizing question

My head measures 21.75", so it falls in the break between a small and a medium. Anyone have any advice on which to get? Thanks in advance.

The pro-light has very little adjustment so it must fit right out of the box. I would suggest trying it on at a LBS. FYI Giro just came out with a 2011 model so the 2010 pro-lights are being discounted.

I have a 2010 Prolight and like it.

I wonder what the change is between the 2010 and 2011 Prolight?

OP, I have a 2010 Ionos in medium and the 2010 Prolight, also in medium...but the Prolight feels a little tighter than the Ionos. I doubt that helps you, but it's another data point. As you've probably read, helmet fit isn't just about the size, it's about the shape of YOUR head. Best bet is as suggested above...try them on. I know that makes it a little more problematic to get the best price by ordering online...or you have to do the try it on local, buy web (which I hate, but I've done it).

I'm 23" and wear a Med. if that helps.
I suggest going to try it on before you buy if you are looking to pick it up online, but for me a Med. fits just right.
They do not fit everyones head good go try first.

Thanks everyone. That's what I was thinking, but the online pricing can be so tempting...

Problem is adjustability for prolight is very limited, hence the problem if your head is that odd size. Most others will accommodate your head.

They came out with a new model https://www.giro.com/us_en/products/c...aeon-9019.html

I would also look at S-Works

I was doing a little more reading on the interweb last night and I think that is what I am going to look at. All the airflow of the Ionos, with the weight of the Prolight. Plus it seems to have better adjustability. I need to replace my Bell since the one strap is determined to saw through my ear.
