What speed of bike are you running?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

My bike is only average speed when someone else is riding it. When I am riding, it is below average.

53/39 & 11-26 10 speed (2 x 10; 20 total) on Road Bike (sram rival with fsa crank)

My hybrid is 3 x 8, 48/38/38 and 11-32 (Shimano)

I find it ironic how people go for 1 gear jumps (11-21) and complain about slow shifting in cassettes with higher range (such as 11-28 or SRAM's new 11-32) since my $300 hybrid with an 8 speed 11-32 shifts perfectly.
