Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Sadly I don' think that bike will ever see the track. This thing is locked up in front of a taco shop, dude definitely needed those zips to get there as fast as possible.

LOL i actually said that in my head before reading your post. And he does have flat bars on the bike right? or does the angle/distance hide the drop bars?

other than the bare chain being used to lock the bike up, i think it's pretty cool.

i've always wanted to turn a light aero carbon race bike into a SS with riser bars. would be fun to ride

Oh yeah, I'm like, "to each his/her own". It's their money.
But some of the things I see that they do "on purpose" boggles me.

Right. The only time I'm like "offended" by other peoples bikes is when they do stuff that makes them dangerous - going brakeless, riding ultra-short handlebars, etc.

Haha if I was that rich I'd get aero equipment and Fred the heck out of it just to see the look on everyone's faces.
