Question for you TdF Vets. When was the last time that Mavic neutral support was used in the Tour? When is a rider ever caught without a team car with spare bikes available? Also, do the neutral support bikes have a choice of pedal systems?
Edit: Nevermind. Stopped being lazy and googled it.

Boring tour with a few exciting moments (tdf) vs an entirely exciting tour through all 21 stages (giro)!

I'm not turning into pcad. I am still much younger, faster, and better looking. Not to mention I don't have a silly octopus looking crankset, and a huge battery dangling off the side of my bike. Besides if he saw my post he would ask me why do I hate America, for watching European TV. I do however admire the way he works around the swear filter, and I started doing the same.

Today was the most sublime, perfectly executed sprint lead-out I've seen since I started watching pro cycling.
Incredible work, surprised Cav only won by one wheel. I remember in '10(or '9?) him winning by waaay more than that with such a good train.
Maybe it was because of the perfect helicopter shot from like 1km to the finish line, amazing footage.

Stage 3 was pretty good. Julian Dean, leading out Hushovd, who then led out Farrar. It's like they don't even try to get a good train going however when the HTC boys are up there.

I also thought Cavendish's comments about the other teams not wanting to work were a bit silly. The other teams don't work for the sprints because they have GC guys, generally. Though I'm not sure what Garmin is thinking...Danielson for GC, really? I mean okay, but surely getting stage wins with Tyler is more important than a lower top-ten finish.
Also, no discussion about the comments regarding Cavendish's 'miraculous' comeback on the climb yesterday?

Voeckler admits that two more summit finishes — at the Galibier followed by L’Alpe d’Huez — and a 42.5km individual time trial in Grenoble will likely spell his doom.
“If I say it with any honesty at all, I have no chance to win the Tour this year,” Voeckler said. “There is still one week to race and this year’s Tour was designed to be won in the final week. I know how hard it will be.”
Of course, that's precisely what I would say if I were him, even if I thought I could actually win the TdF.

Yeah it was kinda fun to watch. For a second I thought maybe they worked too hard and were losing guys too quick, but Renshaw is more than enough by himself.

I think he was simply referring to the massive amsounts of suffering he went through on the climb and getting over it so quickly to win today like nothing ever happened.

Not implying anything. I was just saying what I think he was referring to. They had shots of Cavendish on VS huffing and puffing like a mule in labor going .3 mph up the climb yesterday with team members escorting him and pouring water over him, handing him bottles and pulling him along, etc. If I saw someone like that yesterday and then saw what I saw today I would have been as frustrated as Farrar was.

Check out the leadout Cavendish had a couple of years ago when he won on the Champs in Paris. Forget about it. Nobody was within 50 meters of his Manx ass. Most amazing and effective high octane leadout EVER.

Never count out Contador. He could come roaring back in the Alps after that rest day. I'm amazed people seem to forget the string of Grand Tours that man has won in the past 4 years.
