Zipp Vuka Sprint Bars: OPINIONS PLEASE! Love / Hate
Hey guys,
I really need some opinions on these bars. I'm looking for a new aero type, flat topped, road bar. These are the ones i'm looking into. I really dig the looks of them, but would like some feedback to those who have seen them in person / those who have used them.
So:
How do you guys like the looks of them?
How is the comfort (both in drops and on tops)?
Is the bar too stiff or to compliant?
Do you guys enjoy the internal cable routing or is that not a huge issue?
Love 'em, Hate 'em?
Help me out if you can! I'd love to get some feedback on these! Seems as though I can't find them around to test them out in person. So i'm relying on you guys.
Thanks guys,
Chris

I like them a lot, but last time I checked they were on infinite back order, so I bought FSA K-Wings instead.

Have you ridden them at all? What did you like about them?
I guess I haven't even checked to see if they were available or not. Shoot. FSA's look nice too. Hmm... Still looking for opinions / rider review.
Thanks,
Chris

I don't think you will get a rider review. They are friggen' vaporware at this point. CC is showing they will have them in on 7/11/2011, but I don't trust it one bit. I've watched them change it several times. I will say however the FSA bars are great despite being a bit heavy. That is one reason I still would like to try the Zipp bars. At 220g, that is 51g less than my K Wings. Since they are vaporware however, they weigh nothing, and have nowhere for you to mount your brifters to. Good luck riding without bars.

I didn't test by myself but i've read a review about it..
As i remember, the sharp edges of the bar may cut your hands after some period, if you don't wear gloves.
I was also planning to get this bar, but i finally ended up buying a contour sl.
For a 44cm size SS drop version, it weighted just 181g on my scale and the quality is top-noch
The aero flat top section is also very comfortable especially on long cruises.
(I wear L-XL gloves)

Cool man. Good info to know. Looks like other options are now being put on the table.
