This should qualify me for Cat 6
When I returned from a solo century today, I noticed I had acquired this. I have no idea when it happened...

You don't have the points to upgrade to Cat VI yet.

So in your case it's not a Cat IV Tattoo (what they used to call it) or a Cat V Tattoo (it's current name) but more like a Fred cattle brand.

More importantly, is it enough for my Cat 6 upgrade?
I understand the confusion as the artistry and technical execution is comparable to many tattoos you'll see in our area.

When I saw the road was closed, I thought I'd be able to bomb down as I wouldn't have to worry about oncoming traffic.
On the way up, it became clear to me why they weren't letting anyone through, and I knew this was going to be a record slow descent (which is good because when I came around one bend, there were 4 deer in the middle of the road -- camera wasn't running then)
Some sections consisted of loose gravel or required hopping because there was no transition from the cut out areas so I had my hands full even at slow speeds. Hard to believe I was skiing here barely over a month ago.

Nice ride report and video, BJ. It's also nice to see that you're only a little bit faster than me. My rides average about 50 ft/mile, so props for all the extra climbing. Looks like a beautiful ride on a beautiful day.
