Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

What do you know about Swobo and Capo?

I'm just realizing how awesome Bonktown.com is, but I've never heard of most of the brand names that pop up there.

I ended up buying a Swobo 753 jersey, and it's totally and completely awesome! So I went back and got it in every other color I could find. I'm telling you, I love this jersey! It's perfect in every way.

But I don't really know anything about "Swobo" other than the fact that their website sucks. So what's up with this company? Who buys/wears their stuff? It seems like they sell mostly single speed bikes and some jerseys, but I've never seen one out in the wild, and I'd never heard of Swobo at all until seeing the jersey on bonktown.

And while I've got this thread started, what is "Capo?" They have some neat things on bonktown sometimes too.

Thanks/.

Capo is a brand that makes some darn good cycling clothing. I have a set of bibs and a jersey from them, all top quality. I have zero experience with Swobo, however.

I (as well as my wife) have Swobo jerseys. They are high quality and great fitting.
I just recently got a Capo jersey. It also is very high quality and fits well.
A few months ago I bought a Capo jacket. The material is great quality but the zipper kind of sucks.

All of this through bonktown. I have a problem.

Swobo makes very nice Merino wool jerseys. I like them! I like Capo's bibs if I can get them on sale, very comfortable for long rides.

I have 2 swobo jerseys and like them. Not super tight but not baggy either. From what I can tell they market to the fixie/hipster crowd, although I proudly where mine out on the road bike

I agree that Swobo seems to be targeting the Hipsters, but I don't care. I love the 753 jerseys. a lot. I'll grab a Swobo full merino jersey if I see it too.

I haven't bought anything from Capo yet though. They have their name really big on their stuff, and I usually don't buy stuff that has huge names on it...especially if I have never heard of the name before. Like Castelli has some SUPER nice things on there, but I kind of see them as a "pro or poser" company, so I haven't got any of their stuff. The Capo stuff intrigued me enough to want to see other people's opinions on it though.

LOL. Same here. But I'm hoping that the novelty wears off after a short while. I obviously just got started with bonktown.
I mean, I have every color of 753 jersey.....what else could I possibly need?!?!?!

Who care's? Wear it if you think it looks great.
I've found that Castelli sizes fit me perfectly. I like them, I wear them.

^ Yeah, I didn't mean it that way. I think the castelli stuff looks really really nice as-in very-well-made. I don't really think it all looks "good," but it certainly does look "nice."

There's a Capo jersey that comes in white and red that keeps popping up.....I think that one is beautiful, and I "almost" buy it every time I see it.

Capo bibs are hands-down my favorites for long rides. I have a jersey and a winter jacket of theirs too. Both are top notch. Never tried Swobo.

Thanks for the responses, everyone.

And speak of the devil, because Bonktown is listing full merino Swobo jerseys RIGHT NOW! Of course, I grabbed my blue one before posting this. Wheee! Bonktown is fun!
