Anyone else considering the Pedal Force CG2 road bike frame?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Anyone else considering the Pedal Force CG2 road bike frame? (now w/ pics of a build)

Looks like a winning deal, Asymmetric headtube (upper 1-1/8" / lower 1-1/4) & BB30: https://pedalforce.com/online/product...ducts_id=20494

It would be tempting if they reach the 50+ orders on the group buy

I got the QS3 just over a year ago and I have been very happy with it. The only issue was the BB30. It made tons of noise. Once we rebuilt it for the 3rd time and used green loctite it did fine. The QS3 is reasonably stiff but has a really good ride quality. I compared it to a Madone 6 during cycle oregon last year and they were very close, Madone a little bit stiffer???? Maybe....

Group buy looks like a good deal.

FWIW I built a CX1 just over a year ago and it has served me very well. With 28mm tires it might be my favorite bike.

+1. I'm love my 2011 QS3. Bought it as part of the group buy right around the new year. Great value. Got a great deal on a groupset too.

Yes, $450 for the frame + $100 for the fork is hard to resist.

I ride and love my RS (which was the first group buy from PF), but this bike is making want to get another! I wish they would offer good pricing on the grouppo to go w/ frame and I may be in.

In for one at the 49+ level. Does everyone here do their own build? I was thinking about ordering the frame and components and it take it to my LBS.

I would be in on this . . . except for the BB30. That's a deal killer for me.

I dunno why PF doesn't paint this frame. With all the generic carbon fiber ebay frames (same from same molds as PF), the brand & reputation is a key differentiator. I can vouch for their customer service, they crash replaced my rs2 quick style. I was able to go from a naked black frame to a white/black frame and aesthetically it was a huge improvement.

Yeah, I'm on fence!

The CG2 road-bike frameset group-buy now has 44 commitments, 50 are needed for the group buy to happen. The sign-up period ends Aug 7th. The chance to buy an advanced carbon fiber frameset for $550 is looking very good. Frames will be shipped this month.

I'm all hot for the CX2 cross frame. Fender mounts and Rack mounts plus it will be a great cross frame. I want a rain bike / cross bike. I signed up for that one. Not many signed up though.

I'm still loving my QS3 frame from Pedal Force. I'd say it is comparable to a 5 series Madone frame. Well made too, just generic.

Just signed up as well. This looks to be a BB30/gloss clear coat version of the November Wheelhouse frame

I want this, but can't really scrape up the $$ required. Plus I think this one might be the n-1 where the -1 is the wife leaving.

I'm just happy the CX2 is half way to the group buy. I'd get the CG2 but I already have the QS3 and I really like it. Don't know if it would be that much different.

Never heard anything bad of any of their frames. Not my taste but nobody says anything from pedal force sucks so it should be ok.

Congrats! You're there. I participated in the 2011 QS3 group buy. PF includes everyone in the higher level commitments as well since they have committed to the maximum price they will pay. Fifty have joined in all so you get the CG2 frame at the lowest price. Like Hunt-man I would get in on the action but am very happy with my QS3.
