Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

cRc Stage 2 Video (Helmet Cam)

Seriously, perhaps the most beautiful race course I have done. https://www.capitolreefclassic.com/ For those of you who love Moab, you already know the amazing central southern Utah thing, but this was my first trip. I talked two of the old neighborhood buddies Jared and Nate (Team Bob's Bicycles) and stayed a couple of nights in the Howard Johnson's. We raced, hung out, and ate. Good times.

The races were the best supported I have seen and the competition was great. It is definitely on the schedule for next year.

Who is coming with me next year? Also, what do you think of the second camera?

If you hadn't told me this was a race, I'd have thought it was a charity ride. What's with everyone on the hoods and those guys wearing the jerseys that were flapping around like t-shirts?

Also, I love the lack of traffic, different scenery, very small field, and the road markings. So completely different from what we have around here.

I enjoyed that, thanks for filming, editing, and posting it. It's hard to gauge effort and speed on those videos. I did notice the leisureliness and the flapping jerseys. Not that I'm a snob about it. I don't even own a jersey!

Hey, do you ride for BSU, I assume? I'll be looking to hook up with the Vandal cycling crew next year, maybe we'll end up riding sometime.
