Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Told yall I was getting a TCR. :-) Love my new ride and can't believe I bought anything other than a Giant before this one. Can't beat the bang for the buck IMHO.

Thread Revival!

Here's my TCR, after a complete (tight budget) rebuild on it... thanks ebay!
I know it's not much to brag about compared to most of these bikes here, but I love it!

(haven't put the tape on yet in this pic, black Cinelli)

Here's what it looked like when I bought it...

Some beautiful bikes up in here...sooo with my first post I introduce my 2012 TCR Advanced 0 w/mechanical Ultegra. She's pretty stock, I'd like to get some nice wheels for her, but it will have to wait until after the holidays.

I'm in central PA, and yes it typically would come with Ui2. I wanted a 2013 TCR Advanced 1 in XL, but my LBS couldn't get one in a reasonable time frame so they offered to sell me a this 2012 Advanced 0 and swap the electronic out for mechanical for a steal...It ended up saving me about $2000 so I'm happy.

That's funny, before I bought my bike at my LBS, I was considering a Specialized Tarmac sl4 with di2.
so they offered me the sl3 and took the di2 components off of the advanced 0 so it was a similar spec'd bike.

I had to ask where you were from, thought it was my local lbs lol.

Ah I get it now! Nope, unfortunately the Ui2 group now resides in the gruppo showcase in my LBS taunting me every time I go in there for not spending the extra cash. I'll feel better though once I put the money I saved into some nice wheels!

The Ui2 is nice, I've ridden bikes with it before, but honestly it's not something I need. I'll worry about electronic shifting on my next TT bike where it actually offers some real advantages with multiple shifting positions and such.
