Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Damn... that's funny.

My old Madone 4.6 had more black, but I wouldn't call it a black bike.

My bad, I thought they were called "flat bar road bike". At least that's how they advertise them.

Yup, they are conti GP4000ii tires with yellow sidewall. Unfortunately, you will have a hell of a time finding them because Conti discontinued their colored sidewall GP4000ii tire due to their green color fading. It sucks because it is such a great tire and the yellow adds a nice touch for those who are looking for a yellow/gumwall.

I've since switched to the vittoria Corsa G+ and have been very happy. very smooth and fast ride. Unfortunately, even though they have been very good with puncture resistance, I know I wont get as many miles out of these as I did with my conti's.

Gumwalls are only available in 700x23 and are slightly more expensive...PBK is the cheapest I can find them. Just choose 700x23 as the size and then Transparent/Black as the color.
Continental Grand Prix 4000S II Folding Road Tyre | ProBikeKit.com

If you want 700x25 gumwall conti's, you'll need to opt for the classic version:

Guess who just bought new tires?!

I think 25 is the new 23. That said, if I could fit 28s on my road bike, I'd probably try it considering the roads in Phoenix.

Zipp 30 Course, I just put them on my canondale SuperX.

Did they come on it?

No, it came with the Mavic Aksium's. Seemed like Cannondale was trying to keep the price down by under-spec'ing the wheels. I love the Zipp's, have you been happy with them?

I've flipped the stem and ordered my favorite Ritchey handlebars. Also, I've ordered a black and white Fabric seat rather than the white and black (have another bike that could use the white and black version).

My SuperX is a Cyclocross bike and came with 35mm knobby tires. The original wheels and tires are fine for the dirt, but they suck on pavement. So I decided to ride on the street I needed street tires. I ordered a set of Bontrager AW2 TLR 32mm and the Zipp 30 Course to mount them on.

I've only had 2 rides but can tell you they are really nice. The rims are just a bit heavier than the 303s I have on my road bike. The tires are real comfortable.
