case advice needed
hi there,
i'm a touring musician and this fall i'll be bringing my early 90's colnago with early 80's campy SR. i travel in a tour bus pulling a trailer that has all of the gear and usually a couple of vintage motorcycles strapped in there. i'm obviously not going to want to just throw a hook in the ceiling and hang it, so i thought i'd come here for a little advice?
as i'm going to be pulling it out everyday, i'm not going to want to take the stem/seatpost/pedals off every day. i have a feeling the vintage bits aren't going to enjoy that after a month of two. i also am going to be shipping it to the first show of the tour, flying and meeting it there. so it doesn't need to be a flight case necessarily.
my first thought is to get one of these and re-inforce it with wood or metal (i have a welder buddy that could help with this)- https://www.lickbike.com/productpage....B='3698-00'
the price is right on the air caddy, and once the bike is shipped, i could strap it to the side of the trailer with some tie-downs. any experiences? other recommendations?
thanks!
