San Marco Regal and side-adjust seat post clamp
I'm trying to install a San Marco Regal saddle on a Specialized seatpost that adjusts from the side. The sides of the Regal come way down, past the rails, so there's no good way to access the seat clamp without mounting the saddle WAY forward.
Am I missing some trick here, or do I need to get a bottom-adjust seatpost if I want to use the Regal?

That's the problem - there's no room to get any kind of alan key between the saddle and the seat post. With a more modern saddle with totally exposed rails it's very easy. Here's a crude diagram:
I want to get the seat clamp in about the same position, but the body of the saddle (the \___/ in the diagram) covers the rails and the seat clamp, so I can't get a wrench in.
Code:
Specialized Toupe (previous saddle) <-------> Saddle --o--- Rails, o is seat clamp \ Seat post San Marco Regal <-------> -\___/ \

Sounds like you need a bottom adjust seatpost!
