Garmin Vector reactions?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Garmin Vector reactions?

Bikerumor has the blogpost up:

not really impressed. The measuring element looks like a boxcar weight. And clearance issues?

I do like the idea of independent leg information though. Cool idea.

My reaction: yet another press release to announce vaporware? I mean, I saw the announcement, and thought "Cool! Maybe I can rent a set of pedals one weekend before the weather goes foul. Oh, wait, they're NOT telling us these are on the market now."

Considering that I paid $1,000 for a wheelset with a Powertap SL+ and am using now, I don't see what the point of this vaporware is. If it comes out and it's so freakin' awesome, maybe I'll get it.
