Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Tapered Fork Options?

I bought an Allez Comp E5 frameset and love it to pieces so far, but I am ready to upgrade the fork. From what I have heard the fork, with its alloy steerer, weighs quite a bit and much weight could be lost if I upgraded to a full carbon fork. I'd also like to get a new fork for the sake of playing around with fit some more (my steerer is chopped already).

The problem is that aside from Enve and Easton there are no other forks that I know of that are 1 1/8" --> 1.5" tapered. 3T makes a fork called the Rigida and it's supposed to be a full carbon fork that is priced decently, but I have had no luck tracking one down and 3T said they were sold out. Any ideas?

PS: I talked to Specialized and they didn't seem to have anything to offer me other than the stock Allez E5 fork (in black/red, not white/blue).

Also worth noting that my frame is a 61 and my steerer is already at 29cm, so buying a used fork is pretty much out of the question unless someone else had a really large bike with lots of spacers installed.
