Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Helping a friend get started?

A good friend of mine has done a great job of loosing weight over the past year nearly 50 pounds. I have always wanted him to start cycling but is afraid to get out of his comfort zone i.e. the gym. He said he would start spinning classes. I would prefer to be on my bike but would like to help him. I have zero experience ever on a spin bike. Can i bring my own peddles with me? also how do they handle the saddle situation? Should i bring mine? sorry its not road bike related but didn't know where to ask thanks!

At our gym you can not switch pedals or seats. Bring your own shoes with SPD cleats or platforms.
