Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

How do you know when a crankset is not stiff enough?

I always love these threads. I remember reading an article a few years ago discussing crankset stiffness. Basicly, a mere mortal will never notice the difference in the stiffness of a crankset as long as it is mounted to a bike. The bottom bracket area is going to flex much more than any crank ever will.

I hate that FSA has gone downhill so much. I raced them for years (in the past) and I was always happy with them.

There really isn't anything stiffer than 6700. One of the stiffest cranks out there. It's your bottom bracket that's flexing

By bottom bracket flex I believe he meant bottom bracket shell of your frame. Does anything feel weird or make noise when you spin your crank?

OP, you're crank is fine. There are a few options for a lighter crank; there are no options for a crank that will be any appreciable improvement in performance.

Keep your money in your wallet..
