2012 topeak mount....
the iPhone 4 is already taking 720p video...the iPhone 5 is supposed to have an 8MP camera. looks very cool, compared to having a big camera mounted on top of my helmet

Yep, and it's waterproof, has a wide angle lens, saves to SDHC, can run for 2+ hours while recording, and costs under $300.

I hope all iPhone users do this and crash into a mountain lion destroying only their phone. My old Droid X has 8MP and didnt need to flaunt it....

which is more aero - the phone mounted in front of your chest, or a camera mounted on top of your helmet?
i think it would be well-suited to people who already have an iPhone and don't want to spend $300+ on another device. I would like the ability to record short videos sometimes - I can't imagine i do anything on my bike for more than 2 hours straight that's interesting enough to record. if i did, maybe i'd get a go pro.

That mount would be in my face/chest when trying to get in aero position.

That'll fit nicely between a pair of Back-up Barz.

The videos still seem to show decent forward footage when moving into an aero-tuck; perhaps not so much in distance, if the helmet is angled a tad downward.
I guess that mount is okay for casual rides.

Hate to break it to you, but my iPhone definitely doesn't say 5MP on the back (or anywhere on it for that matter). And MP's aren't everything in photography. A 8 year old 6.3mp Canon Rebel DSLR will take a better pic than most new 12MP point and shoot.

I'm pretty sure the iPhone has a 24bit sensor, but that wasn't the point I was trying to make. If you are going to go into that you also have to look at the sensor size (physical size, not MP) because that is one of the biggest factors. A lower MP camera with the same size sensor will take better pics than a camera with more pixels but the same size sensor because the sensor pixels will be larger and allow more light in on the lower MP camera. But either way, the point I was trying to make was that the iPhone doesn't say 5MP on it anywhere so it isn't really "flaunting" it, where the Droid X states 8MP right on the phone. All smartphone manufactures brag about their phones camera in commercials and advertising so they all flaunt it there, but as for on the product itself, the droid x flaunts it's camera more than the iPhone. and thats all I was getting at. I do own an iPhone, but personally hate when people attack them just because it is an Apple product not knowing anything about it, and many people do do that. I will add, that I also hate when people attack android and web os without knowing anything about them either. but for some reason the apple haters seem to "Flaunt" that they hate apple more so than the android, windows, and web os haters. I can't seem to turn anywhere without someone talking bad about apple, and half of the people have never even used an apple product. Granted the same can be said for many apple fanboys who hate everything but apple and have never tried anything else.

Because last year when that fat **** in her SUV felt the need to run me over I had video evidence of her stuffing her face with (big shock) McDonalds while talking on her phone when she ran into me....
most people hate Apple products b/c you pay twice as much for half the product.

This is what I would consider the most applicable and truthful complaint. However, they have been getting better over the last 3-4 years. You can at least run windows on them now and they have MS Office available. Also, the new app store allows average joe's to easily create and sell programs online (just with Apple taking a large 30% cut) which would be another complaint I have about them. They really like to screw their developers over.
