Hot Women Will Laugh at Cyclist... According to GM

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hot Women Will Laugh at Cyclist... According to GM

What has General Motors been doing in the wake of its bailout-assisted turnaround? For one thing, trying to convince young American men that hot women will laugh at them if they ride a bike.

They pulled the ad. Apparently someone was going to show a Volt plugged in next to a bike with Di2. No woman wants a guy the plugs things in.

I did a quick search on this forum, not any of the others and didn't see it. Here's a better article:

Based on what I am seeing here, I think my bike costs more than her car.

The thing that cracks me up here is the stop pedaling start driving stuff. However, our anointed one is forcing GM to make these weenie plug in cars that the birkenstockers might drive. So they get a freakin bailout to make weenie cars, and then do this? LMAO...

Gotta get me one a them there big hockin' diesel pickups belching out exhaust.

Why? You like pollution? You like paying for gas? No Volt for you.

You realize that diesel is better for the environment in nearly every possible way, right?

It'd seem that the ignorance doesn't stop with the cagers if a cyclist is bagging on diesel, when it is far more efficient and better for the environment than gasoline.

Ohhh... i didn't realize that. Are we excluding living organisms which have to breath in the high levels of carcinogenic particulate and soot? Or is this just to be a mileage based comparison. Maybe this is a Clean™ Diesel case.

Some of my happiest days were when I sold our GM lemons. Even happier days were had buying and riding bikes. The Giant ad is so clean simple. Kind of like bikes.

No **** she's laughing...looks like he's riding some old-school hooptie with downtube shifters. pffft.

I wish I lived close enough to my work that I could ride every day.

Also, there are some parties here that contend all problems with Sram derailleurs are with the end users.

Even with the big truck in front of me belching out thick black smoke? Out of both stacks?

Imagine that. I need to get some birkenstocks.
