Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Help me ID this Bianchi

Recently acquired an old Bianchi in a trade. It's in pretty bad shape, but I'm slowly nursing it back to health. I think it's an old Bianchi Sport SX, but I'm unsure, and if it is I don't know the year. All the pictures I've found look like a Sport SX, except it doesn't have "Sport SX" written on the top tube.

Other than that it looks just like this. Same color, decals, Sugino VP Crankset, Shimano Light Action deraileurs and shifters, lugs look the same, stem, seatpost, dia compe brakes, etc. Also, it has "Bianchi" inlaid into the lugs on the fork and some Sport SX pictures I've seen just have "B" on the lugs.

Is there some year that they stopped/started writing "Sport SX" on the top tube? With the lower/entry level quality of components that came on the bike, I seriously doubt it's anything but a Sport SX.

Thanks!

I don't know Bianchis very well. It's not the Gucci one, so it's worth < $15,000.
